Fun Times with Daddy Outside...

Clint has an amazing way to keep the kids entertained outside for long periods of time. This time they enjoyed posing on the 4-wheeler and then taking individual rides around our driveway. There is nothing like beautiful weather and a loud 4-wheeler to keep three kids thoroughly entertained. What a great DADDY...

Basement Forms...Pouring will Begin Soon!

The forms were put up and the walls were poured for our basement. The basement is getting closer to being finished. Pretty exciting that this whole process is getting underway! I can't wait to have a new house...

Kids Having a Reading Party!

Quiet time in the Horinek house always makes me a little nervous. I begin to enjoy the peace and then I realize that it is unuasual. I more often than not means that Edward is spreading baby powder all over his room or himself (this did happen!!!) or that Gianna is secretly sneaking treats. But this time, they were enjoying each other's company reading books and snuggled in a blanket. These always heavenly moments!

Fall Harvest is Underway!

This is the bagger. The grain goes into the hopper and fills the bag.

This is what the bag looks like when it is full with corn. It holds nearly 12,00o bushels.

Fall Harvest has been slowing getting underway since September 5th. Uncharacteristic moisture for our area has kept us out of the fields and awaiting harvesting our fall abundance. Here are a few pictures of our machines in action as well as a new strategy that we are trying this year...baggin our crops. These bags allow us to store our grain and haul it in the winter months when the elevators our less busy. I have uploaded a video for you to watch how it works! We hope you enjoy...

Our New House!

A few months ago we began the process of designing our new house. We are very excited to have more space for our growing family. We are having our house custom built in a factory and moved to our new location in Colby, Kansas. As we have been working with our contactor, our basement crew has been working amidst the muddy conditions to get our basement poured. I have posted the pictures up until now and today begins the pouring process...November 5, 2009. Yippee!
